No, you haven't been redirected to someone else's Art oriented website. You haven't been cleverly shanghaied by an unscrupulous artistic rival of mine either. I wish I were famous enough to warrant having a few rivals, but no; you're still at studio 66 srm. I realize it's a naturalistic still life and that it doesn't quite fit in with the work you've seen on the previous pages, but I've included it for sentimental reasons. This was about the third painting I ever did. At the time, I was quite pleased with how it came out, and to tell you the truth I still am after all these years. I was happy with it because it showed that I had the potential to be good maybe even great some day. Today, it serves to remind me that I have yet to reach my potential.
My hope for you the viewer is that if you have something that you have a talent for, and that if it's something that adds in a positive way to the world, that you keep at it. It's very easy to let time slip by, and for all we know the life you live now may be the only go round you ever get.
Remember, any fool can destroy a thing; the real power lies in creation.
